Service by Publication

$1.00Price

This form is used when you are unable to locate the other party in a legal case and need the court’s permission to serve them by publishing notice in a legal newspaper. Service by Publication is typically used in divorce or custody cases when all reasonable efforts to find and personally serve the other party have failed.

This document helps you request alternative service and demonstrate to the court that you've made diligent attempts to locate the individual. Once approved, notice of the case will be published in a court-approved publication for a specified period, satisfying legal service requirements.

At the Self-Help Center, we offer access to this form along with guidance on how to complete it and what steps to take to ensure proper legal notice is given—especially when traditional service methods are not an option.
